Experience the Empathic Purity of Design with Simon Chong

Discover how our artistic approach transforms the space into a free and elegant haven, blending flowing architectural elements with refined details

"Returning to the pure and ultimate life" and "Creating design with poetic functionality" were the key goals our creative head, Simon Chong, bore in mind when envisioning the space for this Qianhai Yicheng Qiwanli project by Shenzhen International Group. At the outset, he wanted to interpret the design concept through empathy, reignite the modern urbanite’s perception and focus on fine details.

When renovating the front lobby wall, our design team followed the architectural concept of "flowing clouds and flowing water", utilising artistic shapes as the visual focus to connect the arc elements of the building, while allowing the white petal-shaped facade to slowly unfold as visitors step out of the elevator. In an instant, the view becomes startlingly clear, reflecting the free and refined elegance of the space. The water bar continues the graceful blooming form of a flower bud, achieving perfect unity in the combination of function and formal beauty. Meanwhile, the ceiling light strips and decorative lamps seem to wrap around each other, engaging a natural fit.

With the help of soft colour hues, clever decor and smart design, this aesthetic space successfully breaks through the state of being "trapped" in an urban office building, presenting a relaxed and free flow, promoting people to happily interact with the environment. Coupled with the artworks dotted around the space, the humble echo of Shenzhen International Group's dedication creates an elegant, artistic life for the owners.
